I've started popping in for coffee lately, and it's a really nice place with very good coffee. The beans are freshly ground, there are decaf options, and they make mochas too. I had scampi and chips once as well, served quickly and tasting good. The coffee area is fairly small and separate from the pub and dining spaces, though I'm sure the areas could overlap if it got busy.

We had a tuna melt and a homemade fish finger sandwich, then tea and a lovely cappuccino. The cafe on the side is small and fills up fast, but the bar area is pleasant. We had a good experience and would recommend it. Hopefully we'll get into the cafe next time 🤞👍😉

A cosy pub with lovely staff and owner. There's plenty of nice seating inside and out, and they run a mums and toddlers event on Wednesdays. Family friendly and well worth a visit!

The outside seating is nice, even though it's right by a busy main road. The food, though, has been disappointing since the place changed hands a couple of years ago, I think. It used to be good and good value, but the quality and cost aren't what they were. It's a standard pub chain menu, and the portions don't justify the price. My £14 crispy cauliflower salad was mostly iceberg lettuce. The children's menu was the biggest letdown: the “garlic bread strips” starter was one small slice, with 99p added on top of the menu price. The kids' sausage and mash arrived without the promised gravy. When we asked for it, it came far too hot for my granddaughter to enjoy with her meal. Simple things that should be easy to get right.

On a seriously hot Sunday, the staff were still so warm and friendly. I had the best burger I've eaten in 50 years, succulent, juicy and chargrilled. The Sunday lunch was great too, with gorgeous carved beef, turkey and pork, and lush gravy, plus an extra gravy boat. Really good value for money.
