The Queens

We spent nine nights here with our two dogs, and they loved it. Robyn, Katie, Alice and the rest of the team made us feel looked after from the start. No request seemed too much trouble, and even after long shifts they were still greeting us with a smile. I’d wanted to stay at the queens for ages, and it lived up to expectations. The room was amazing, with a great shower and bathroom, and the bed gave us the best sleep we’ve had in a long time. Housekeeping were helpful while giving us space, and room service was spot on. At the bar, Max, Zico’s friend Dave and the other staff were quick, polite and knew their drinks, which were reasonably priced and served correctly. When we left, Robyn and another team member even helped carry our bags to the gate at the train station. That extra effort meant a lot. Thanks, Robyn, Katie, Alice and Dave. We’ll see you soon.

I left my rings behind in the room and only realised after we’d checked out. When I called the next day, Katie took care of it right away and arranged to have them safely sent back to London. She was so kind and genuinely caring, and I’m very grateful. We’d already had a lovely weekend here. Our cozy room looked out over the main square in Leeds, with the Christmas markets glowing below. We also had drinks at the hotel bar on Sunday night. It was beautifully decorated, and the cocktails were delicious. We had such a special stay and will definitely return. The room needed a bit more care: the wardrobe was dusty, the bathroom mirror had scratches, and dust on the shower room filter seemed to be stopping it working properly. Even so, The Queens Hotel has a lovely interior and atmosphere, and the staff gave excellent service. It’s a great spot for enjoying Leeds, and we had a memorable stay.

We paid £289 for two nights, and for that price the stay was good enough. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, and our family room, number 532, was a decent size. The building itself is beautiful and full of character, with nicely decorated rooms and a great location. The finish in the room let it down. There were chipped corners throughout, some paint looked off, the woodwork could use attention, and the desk chair was ripped at the sides. The staff could improve their service, too. When I asked the housekeeper to replace our mugs and leave tea bags, she said that was only done each morning. She gave us two tea bags, but no biscuits or extras for the next morning, as if we could only have one cup of tea a day. They also made up the sofa bed despite us saying in the booking that we didn’t need it because we had a baby.
