We joined as a family last summer because we were tired of the restricted swim times at council leisure centres. Here we get the longer, flexible sessions we wanted, plus better facilities, warm showers and access to the spa/stream. I’ve also started Rebecca’s yin yoga class and have really enjoyed it. I can’t speak to the gym because of a health condition, and we’ve eaten at the bar a few times. The member discount makes it more affordable, and the food is decent, especially the roasts and their good portions. I wouldn’t pay full price, though. The food is okay, but I’d expect more from some £20 meals. A few things could be improved for families. My son can’t have the included pudding because there’s no dairy-free kids’ option. Parking can be tricky when it’s busy, and the tight spaces make getting my four-year-old in and out of the car hard. In the family changing area there’s nowhere to put bags or sit while putting shoes on. The floors are always very wet, and it can be cold in there, which makes changing little kids difficult. Compared with the regular changing rooms, that area needs attention. Still, we’re happy members and really enjoy our swims. Thanks!

The food throughout the conference was a real highlight, and having a Starbucks on site was a nice bonus for my morning coffee. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable after a long day, and the staff were friendly and ready to help whenever I asked. I was thoroughly impressed with my stay.

We had dinner at the hotel and the food was amazing. ELLA, our waiter, was so helpful, even sang happy birthday, and surprised us with a complimentary drink. The reception team had also made the occasion special for my parents with a birthday card wishing him happy birthday and gifts in the room. We were away for a night to celebrate my partner’s birthday with the kids. I booked on the hotel’s own website and recommend doing that. Everything we needed in the room had been set up for us. Such a lovely experience!

The staff were great, breakfast was really good, and both chefs cooked the poached eggs perfectly on both mornings. We also enjoyed the pool, and the room was generally good. I’ve stayed at most Village hotels around the UK, and they’re usually pretty good. This one is about 4.5 stars for me. The family room sofa bed was worn out, so our little one ended up in our bed the first night. Its setup also meant it partly blocked the entrance. They added a mattress topper for night two, which made it much better. After busy periods, the leisure changing rooms need more frequent cleaning. People leave towels and rubbish around, and the shower area wasn’t the cleanest. Still, I’d come back. 👍

The gym and pool were excellent, and definitely the best parts of my stay. The staff were friendly enough, but the rest was a letdown. I wouldn’t stay again unless they sort out the rooms and noise, and I wouldn’t recommend it to colleagues looking for somewhere to stay. The rooms feel very outdated and need a complete retrofit. After staying at the Novotel a few times, this place felt like my nan’s spare room. Noise was a constant problem. On the first floor, music from reception and the restaurant carried into my room until after 10. People in the car park kept honking and revving their engines, and I could hear the adjacent road and planes from Bradford airport. The walls are incredibly thin, too. I heard people talking, switches clicking, TVs and hairdryers, so it’s not somewhere to unwind. The food was terrible. Breakfast was cheap frozen sausages, watery eggs and dry bacon, more like hospital food. Dinner was greasy pub food without much taste. The burgers were overpriced and worse than Burger King. The only thing I enjoyed was the wings. All those facilities on site made me give it a try, but I left disappointed.
