The food was very good, and the room was great. We decided to spend a night away at the Forresters once the rain had stopped, and it turned out to be a sound choice. The atmosphere was so friendly, and Warren and his son made us feel very welcome. Looking forward to next time.

The weekly menu changes with what's available from local markets and butchers, and the food was excellent, especially the steak pie. We had a fantastic weekend at the Foresters Arms. The landlord and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming, even when the power went out on our second night. They brought us everything we needed, including candles and extra blankets. It's a lovely community pub, with locals gathered round the bar. Our room was clean and comfortable; a bit dated, perhaps, but that suited the cosy, rustic feel. There are lovely walks right from the door, and it made a perfect countryside birthday break. We'll definitely return.

The location was a highlight, with waterfall walks close by, and Forbidden Corner and Leyburn only a 10-20 minute drive away. We had an amazing weekend, made especially welcoming by Warren, Charlotte, Teddy and Charlie. Our spacious, clean and comfortable rooms had lovely countryside views. Warren's a brilliant chef and every meal was amazing. Saturday night had a talented singer, Meghan, whose performance added to an already great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

We stopped for lunch and a pint on our recent trip through the Dales. There were only sandwiches available, but they were just what we needed: thick-cut ham and tomato, and roast beef with horseradish in a baguette, both with a generous serving of chips. Very reasonable prices and good beers too. We'll definitely return.

The owners and staff were fantastic and friendly, and we enjoyed excellent meals and breakfast during our three-night stay at Foresters Arms. My wife and I had travelled from Aberdeenshire for a break. Our room was spotless, and I'd highly recommend staying here to enjoy the surroundings. A five-star inn, and we'll be back. Thank you, Alan & Lorna Thomson.
