Huckleberrys Bar & Grill

The desserts were the highlight, good quality and indulgent. The price was better than I expected too. Four of us had three courses, sides and drinks, including a tip, for around £140. I went for food with three of my kids. Service was polite, quick and attentive. I had brisket, two of the teenage boys had burgers, and my youngest girl had mac and cheese balls with a slider. Everything was hot, tasty and nicely presented, with fair portions. We all left pleasantly full.

We went two nights in a row after seeing the Google photos, and weren't disappointed. I had a burger one night and ribs the next, both amazing, fresh and tasty. The American desserts were unreal too. We learned about them after chatting with the owner and chef. My work colleague and I thought it was one of the best food restaurants we've ever been to. The staff were brilliant, a must go to when in Lincoln.

We had a pleasant evening at Huckleberrys and appreciated the lovely gesture at the end. When we asked for the bill, the manager said all our food and drinks were on the house. We would've happily taken a small discount, so having it all comped was fab. Thank you, it was much appreciated. We'd booked a Saturday evening meal for two. The venue was well lit and welcoming, the menu had good variety at reasonable prices, and the location is right in the city centre near bars, restaurants and shops. We didn't use the hotel. Just before our food went into the kitchen, there was a fuse issue that delayed the cooking. Staff kept us informed and apologised. We didn't mind, as we were happy to have a few drinks first. When the food arrived it was hot, tasty and well presented. The manager also brought complimentary fries and nachos for the inconvenience. The fuse problem was out of their control and wasn't their fault.

The food was delicious, with generous portions and good value for money. We shared a starter, had two mains and three beers, and the bill came to £47. The table was booked for the evening during our stay in Lincoln. We were welcomed straight away and shown to our seats, and the waiting staff were attentive throughout. Highly recommend.
