Adagio Liverpool City Centre

I’d seen it as one of the cheapest hotels around liverpool, so I wasn’t expecting much. It turned out to be surprisingly nice, with a kitchen, aircon and dishwasher. The room was a good size, the shower was great, the bed was comfortable and the staff seemed really nice.

The TV never got past an updating message, which was annoying, and there wasn’t a socket beside the bed to charge my phone. Hopefully I’ll get to watch something next time, because I would stay here again. The apartments were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed and good facilities. I was impressed with the room, especially the big bathroom. Access and check-in were hassle-free, the staff were friendly, and it was easy to find from Lime Street station.

The upgraded studio had plenty of room to store clothes and put things away, and the kitchenette had everything I needed. The high cupboards could be hard to reach if you’re short. The bed was comfy, and I liked relaxing in the chair to watch TV. I also got to see some of the hotel’s lovely original 1950s details in the tiling of the former cafeteria. I got a warm, helpful welcome when I checked in. My room was spacious and nicely presented, with great studio amenities. The front desk staff were pleasant throughout, and I’d happily stay again.

The facilities were modern and really cool, with great shared spaces, including a fitness room and a welcoming social and meeting area. We felt comfortable throughout our pleasant stay in Liverpool. Shaun at reception made the biggest difference. We had an early departure at 4 a.m. on our last night, so we couldn’t have the breakfast included with our stay. When we spoke to him, he was kind, understanding and quick to help. He prepared takeaway breakfast boxes for us without hesitation, making sure we were looked after. His warm, professional and caring manner left us with a great impression, and we’re very grateful for his help and hospitality. He’s a real asset to the hotel. We’d definitely stay here again.
