The location is absolutely perfect, and the food was good. The evening entertainment, bingo and a singer, kept our whole party happy and dancing. Bar prices were very reasonable, and the waiting and bar staff were lovely. Julia, the other lady whose name I've forgotten, and Moses were such nice people. Our room had a TV and tea and coffee facilities, but it was dated, with ripped, patched wallpaper, high beds, and basic Corona-type furniture. One drawer unit had no handle, and I kept hitting my head on the wall lights. Other people found their rooms too hot, while ours was too cold, even with the radiator turned up full. The bathroom was basic and clean enough, but the cheap nylon shower curtain let water splash out, so we had to put towels on the floor to stop water getting into the room below. The lift caused problems for many guests and only fits two people, so anyone with mobility issues may have to wait or walk a long way down from the upper floors. Having to choose both breakfast and dinner a day in advance felt ridiculous, like being in hospital. One day we forgot to mark a starter; nobody checked, it simply wasn't served. When I asked if we could still have starters, the answer was no. We also couldn't get an extra orange juice for one of our party. This hotel has lots of potential and could go from two stars to four with updating and some TLC. I hope they make the effort.

We went on a Turkey & Tinsel coach holiday, our first time in Llandudno. The porter and staff were welcoming when we arrived, and our room was cosy and warm. Meals were lovely with a good variety, and there was different entertainment each night. We especially loved Jamie The Dreamer. The beach and promenade are nearby for a walk, and there are plenty of local shops around the corner. Staff were helpful and pleasant, particularly Moses.

I can't recommend the ‘Four Oaks’ enough. I stay here several times a year and always enjoy it. It's a home from home, immaculately clean with spotless beds, beautifully refurbished bathrooms, and rooms decorated to a high standard. In my opinion, it deserves at least three stars. The food is beautiful, and the staff couldn't do enough. Daniel was our waiter this time and was so kind, happy to do anything we asked. Victoria in the bar was the same, great fun, always smiling and dancing. Moses always greets us with a smile, and his hot chocolate is divine. The sea-front location is great, close to the beach, lovely promenade, main shops, and shopping precinct. Thank you, everyone. See you soon, and I hope the management and staff have a Happy Christmas.

The food was excellent, and both the hotel and our room were spotless. But we'd booked a walk-in shower, and the bathroom was like a cupboard, with a tiny sink tucked beneath a shelf. My husband couldn't use the shower because it was so small and too high to step into. The furniture was mismatched: an old wooden unit, a small metal filing cabinet for a bedside table, and two dining chairs to relax in. There was no reception service after 5 pm. The bar opened at 5, then shut from 6 to 7 while the bar staff served food in the restaurant. The shortage of staff was very clear.
