King's Arms Hotel

We'd been to the kings arms a few times before, since it's halfway between our home in England and family in Scotland. After discovering the function room, we chose it for a silver wedding anniversary party. I began planning at the end of last year and worked closely with Ryan and his team. He was always available for my many, many requests, and if something couldn't quite be done, he found a way to make it happen. Organising from so far away could have been a nightmare, but Ryan made it easy. The room itself was fantastic and spacious, with its own toilets upstairs. We had 73 people seated for dinner, then rearranged the tables for a band, dance floor and plenty of seats for the evening. The dinner service for 73 was quick and seamless. We stayed Friday night and ate in the restaurant. The food was fresh and tasty, and the bar staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely, well decorated, and had comfortable beds. We had all the rooms on Saturday night and didn't get one complaint. Breakfast was hot and fresh. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful. Les handled tables, the room setup and all sorts of little jobs. Graham ran a flawless bar service, and Joy, who worked on the bar, really lived up to her name and was a delight. I can't praise Ryan and his team enough for making the whole weekend so wonderful.

We booked a last-minute Saturday stay and arrived a little early to check in. Our motorcycles went in the covered garage, then we had a couple of drinks at the bar before getting one of the impressive newly refurbished rooms. We ate in the hotel restaurant before heading out to see what Lockerbie's nightlife was like. The hotel was locked when we got back late, but our room keys let us in. The owner was at the bar, so we joined him for a nightcap or two before bed. Checking out in the morning was easy, we just left the keys at reception. Highly recommended 👌

Ryan and his team are amazing. We had our silver wedding at the hotel, and everything was wonderful. We stay there all the time since it's halfway between our house and my family in Scotland.

After a long drive, we arrived to find that Expedia had the wrong room size details for the booking I made for my son and me. The hotel team sorted it out quickly and professionally, without any fuss. Thanks to Ryan and everyone for helping us. It's a lovely hotel, with clean, generously sized rooms and friendly, helpful staff. I'd definitely stay again.
