Crowne Plaza London Kings Cross

A cheesecake with a candle, brought out on the house, was a lovely start to my daughter’s birthday celebrations. We’d come to London for her birthday, and the team also surprised us with a beautiful artwork made by housekeeping after our trip around the city. Check-in was smooth, and staff kindly brought our cake to the room at midnight. Sid was thoughtful and helpful over breakfast the next morning, and his warm, personable manner made us all feel welcome. Ayesha and Humera were lovely too, with such an inviting way about them. A couple of ideas that might make breakfast even better: more vegetarian choices, and perhaps Indian tea available at the counter. It could be an easy point of difference. We had a really good stay.

Breakfast was the standout for me: lots of choices, neatly laid out, and everything tasted fresh, from the hot dishes to the fruit and pastries. Thanks to Siddhant for his kind, excellent service. The staff were warm, polite and ready to help throughout, making the stay comfortable from arrival to departure. Our room was clean, well cared for and relaxing after a long day. We had a great time at Crowne Plaza and I’d happily stay again. Highly recommended.

We didn’t try the hotel breakfast. The quoted walk-in price was £25 per adult and £15 per child, so we went to a nice local cafe instead. If you want to eat at the hotel, booking ahead may get you a better rate. Food from Uber Eats arrived without any trouble. We stayed for a weekend in February. The location is fine, though it’s about a 15-minute walk to either Kings Cross or Russell Square tube, and there are plenty of Ubers around. It’s a pleasant, typical Crowne Plaza, with clean, modern and quiet rooms. Ours was rather warm, and the window didn’t open. The thermostat was set to max cold, but it was February in wet, miserable London, so I wasn’t expecting the air con to be running. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout, including the very courteous cleaning team. I’d gladly stay again.

Siddhant and Aakifa made breakfast a real pleasure. They were cheerful, attentive and helpful every morning, setting a lovely tone for the day. Our family had a very pleasant stay at Crowne Plaza London – Kings Cross by IHG. It’s a clean, comfortable, well-located hotel for a family trip to London, and the rooms were well maintained and up to the standard we expected. The one thing we missed was porter service. With several bags, help getting our luggage from reception to the rooms would have been welcome, especially after a long journey. Overall, a good stay, and we’d consider coming back. A few small improvements could make it even better.
