Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel & Spa

After a rocky start to our honeymoon, we booked Pestana Chelsea Bridge at the last minute to enjoy the final few days of our trip. It completely made our honeymoon, and we'll definitely return. The pool and spa were incredible, with relaxing dim lighting and plenty of room to unwind. Breakfast was one of the best buffets we've had, with lots of choices and attentive staff. Our room was spacious, lovely and clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Anna deserves another mention. She upgraded our stay, decorated the room with petals and left complimentary cakes. She went above and beyond to make us happy, and we really want to thank her. All the staff were lovely. An amazing hotel.

Battersea Park is right across the road, and Battersea Power Station is an easy walk for food, shopping and a stroll. The bed was very comfortable and the blackout curtains worked brilliantly. The spa was clean and quiet when we visited, though small, and the gym has very little in it. I was there for two nights just after Christmas, hoping for a short, slightly luxurious break. I usually stay at chains like Leonardo or Hilton, so I may be judging the service against those as well as the facilities. For this price, several things fell short: my room wasn't set up as requested, the walls were thin, and it was under-stocked, with few toiletries and limited tea and coffee. Breakfast was probably the weakest part. Food ran out quickly, there was no self-service hot drinks machine, and we often had to ask staff for basics like cutlery, bowls or coffee. Service varied. Some staff were pleasant and helpful, while others seemed abrupt, and I saw one concerning hygiene issue. It was an okay stay, not a standout. The location and comfort were good, but the service and attention to detail didn't meet what I expected for the cost.

We were on a school trip and needed some guidance about what to look out for while sightseeing. Sahil from the hotel staff kindly spoke to the children about safety in London, and I want to thank him for sharing his advice with them. Our stay at hotel Pestana was remarkable. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast buffet had lots to offer, and the staff were efficient, professional and helpful whenever we needed something.

The pool area was gorgeous, and the best part of my stay. Having the pool, sauna and steam room open from 6am was ideal for a break from working on my laptop before the workday. The room was a good size and had a nice desk, and the location worked well, with shops, restaurants, cafes and an underground station all within walking distance. Staff were especially helpful. Anna at reception deserves a mention: I had planned one night, then decided to stay longer, and she patiently answered my questions and helped me book the same room again. It was a great mix of business and pleasure, and I'd stay again. Thank you.
