Regal Hotel

I’m absolutely disgusted. We booked two apartments through Booking.com for next July, but got an email the next day saying they couldn’t accommodate us and cancelled the reservation. Why was it listed as available on the site? When I said I wasn’t happy, the reply was rude. They said they were telling us 329 days before the planned stay so we’d have time to find somewhere else, and pointed out that there are over 100 hotels and accommodation options within 5 km. I suspect they saw there’s a huge sold out concert at Wembley that weekend and plan to put the property back up at an inflated price. A

A great hotel with lovely staff. The rooms have been turned into little apartments, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The room was extremely dirty, there wasn’t enough cutlery and what was there was really dirty too. They provided paper plates. The two women working there seemed completely unconcerned by the low standards and were very unprofessional. One of them even checked us out wearing a dressing gown. Disgraceful. From the moment we arrived, both women were grumpy, condescending and hostile, and the customer service was awful. We had a 9pm flight and called earlier that day to book a late checkout, but they insisted on cash only. We asked if we could have access to the room later, and they said yes. If we’d known what would happen, we’d have accepted that and booked somewhere else that allows late checkout paid by card. We’d called to confirm everything hours before check-in, but they still made us leave at 10am on Sunday, leaving us with nowhere to stay for 11 hours. It all seemed dodgy to me.

We had an enjoyable two day stay. It’s in a very quiet, peaceful area with parking, and getting into central London is easy. The facilities and service were good too. I’d recommend it to others. Thank you, Chinnu.
