I’ve loved the Royal Oak ever since it opened, and we’ve been coming for dinner regularly. We’ve never had a bad meal, whether it was for my parents’ retirement, 60th birthdays, Christmas, or an anniversary. The prices are very reasonable for food that’s clearly made with care and attention. Keep up the great work.

The Falcon is just a little farther down the road, and I’d recommend going there instead. The room was nice, and my food was decent, but the portions were very small. The young woman running the bar and restaurant was really rude, and after our group’s food was forgotten, she said there was nothing else available for him when we asked.

We had a great stay with the whole family, including my 99-year-old grandfather. The staff were so kind and friendly, and the food was amazing. The rooms are spacious, with a particularly good accessible room for my grandparents. You can tell care went into the rooms and amenities. There was an event on at the same time, and it looked great too. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The menu has some interesting takes on familiar pub food. I tried the chicken supreme with chorizo on the side, and it was delicious. There were so many different flavours on the plate, which really impressed me. The staff were lovely and the service was quick.
