Clarendon Hotel

The staff were superb, and breakfast was a good deal: the continental option was free, or a big breakfast cost just £5. There were too many rooms for such a small building, and noise carried so clearly you could hear a pin drop. The carpets and floorboards need urgent attention because they're a tripping risk. There is a lift to the third floor, in a building with three floors. Morecambe itself is a very poor area, and as someone with COPD I caught a chest full of infection. The buildings around Morecambe are run down and seem very neglected. In February 2026, I'd definitely return to this hotel, but I wouldn't go to Morecambe again, even in summer.

We didn't have a sea view, but the hotel is right on the promenade and there was free street parking outside. Our room was a good size, spotless, and had a comfortable bed. The staff were lovely, breakfast was a great continental spread, and it was nice and quiet. It's a beautiful hotel with lots of original features. A gorgeous first stay, and we'd definitely recommend it and come back.

The room was clean and warm, and every staff member we dealt with was friendly and accommodating. The view from our room at the back wasn't great, it looked out over waste ground and an alley. The bathroom towel rail was broken too. Even so, everything else was good and I'd stay here again.

The atmosphere was lovely, the views were great, and the beds were really comfortable. It's very dog friendly and exceptionally clean, with excellent staff. Breakfast was fantastic. Yes, you have to pay 550 for it, but I thought it was worth the money. I'd definitely stay here again, and they were very friendly towards my dog.
