A friendly welcome and easy check-in, with lovely owners and a smart breakfast room. Breakfast was excellent, and it was fantastic not having a TV or radio playing in the room. The bedroom and bathroom were tidy and clean. I’ll definitely stay again. A couple of small suggestions: the bedroom could use a wall mirror and more plug sockets. I had to move furniture to find somewhere to charge my phone, and the kettle was right below the place where you hang your clothes.

Absolutely amazing. The room was clean and big enough for all four of us, with neatly folded towels and chocolates. Everyone was really friendly, and breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked. Great value for the price. Highly recommended.

I was desperate for somewhere to stay, so I paid £37 even though I was only there from 9pm until 7.30am. I had to leave by 10pm anyway. The male owner was lovely, but the woman was very odd and not at all welcoming, which put me off. The worst part was the shower: on the top floor it went from freezing to boiling hot within a minute.

My early starts meant I couldn't try the English breakfast, but the hosts kindly put out tea, coffee and cereal for me. They gave me a very nice welcome.

I was very happy with my stay and would happily book again. It wasn't an en-suite room, which was the one drawback, but everything was very clean and the hosts were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it.
