The golf course view from our room was lovely, and the staff were friendly. We only stayed one night, but the room was spacious and clean. There was cable work going on, though we didn’t hear any noise or have any other bother. I knew there wasn’t air conditioning, so having a fan was welcome. Thanks for a comfortable stay.

The breakfast at beefeater was good, and it’s handy being so close to my work. Demi at reception made check-in great. The air conditioning in the rooms wasn’t working, which wasn’t ideal. On my last day, nobody was at the front desk and the bell went unanswered, so I couldn’t sort out my baggage arrangements.

Demi made our 33rd anniversary feel special. After congratulating us when we checked in, she came to our room with chocolates, beer and Prosecco. Such a thoughtful surprise, and it made a lovely day even better. We’re very grateful to her. The two young women at reception were both smiley, polite and friendly when we arrived. We’d already stayed in room 119 during a summer visit to Ferry Meadows, and liked it so much that we asked for it again for this four-day trip. We were delighted to get it. It looks over the putting green on the first floor and has great views. The room was incredibly clean and fresh, as was the Premier inn. Last time, all the staff were amazing too. The location is ideal for exploring and getting around, with lots to do nearby.

The rooms across the second floor smelled of sewage and eggs all evening and into the morning. At breakfast, we’d already paid £10.99 each, but there was nothing to serve ourselves. The woman said that if we weren’t on the list, we’d have to take what was there. There were no beans and the bacon was cold. A red-haired staff member stared at us while we waited, and we could hear them talking about us paying. We asked for our money back because the available breakfast wasn’t worth £10.99. We were told the chef was making something, but nothing came. They started putting away the juices and yoghurts before breakfast had even ended, which felt very off-putting if you wanted anything before closing. The staff need training in customer service and basic friendliness. Absolutely shocking and disgusting place to stay.

The rooms were clean and smelled fresh, and they had a fan. The waitress and bar staff were fantastic with all four kids, asking them what they wanted instead of asking us. At check-in, the receptionist was brilliant. They’d forgotten to make up the kids’ bed, and I only had one towel, so I asked if I could get bedding to make the bed myself. She told me to let her know when we went to dinner. When we got back, she’d made up both single beds, so I got to have the double, and she’d left three extra sets of towels. Best staff I’ve come across.
