The Newcastle Quayside is within walking distance, and parking was easy with plenty of spaces. Check-in and checkout were both straightforward. The staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived, and the team on checkout were just as attentive and professional. We took the dinner and breakfast deal and were happy with both. I had a lovely mixed grill in the evening, then chose the lighter breakfast with fruit, yoghurt and cereal. The room was what I’d expect from Premier Inn, with a comfortable bed and Silent Night mattress. I’d happily stay here again.
The staff here were the best I’ve come across at a Premier Inn, and I’ve stayed at quite a few. They really go out of their way to help. It’s a great central spot in Newcastle, and the rooms are standard Premier Inn.
The location worked well for getting to the station on foot, the Baltic art museum, and Quayside walks and Sunday markets. It also put us near Ouseburn and pubs I love, like free trade and Cumberland arms, while keeping us a little outside the city centre but still within walking distance. The room, food, and drinks were all standard. I was disappointed by the £160 price for one night, though. There was no remote control, and the bathroom ceiling had peeling paint and visible mould.
We chose The Premier Inn because it was near the venue for The Men They Couldn't Hang in Newcastle. It suited us well, with comfortable beds and friendly, efficient staff. Breakfast was cooked to order and top notch. It ticked all the boxes.
A pleasant stay in Newcastle. The layout was a bit unusual, but otherwise it was a pretty standard Premier Inn. The room felt dated, though, and the shower was nice. Check-in was friendly. Our room wasn’t ready, so we waited while they sorted one out, which wasn’t a problem. Parking is underneath the hotel and charged by Horizon. The kiosk wasn’t working during our stay, so parking was complimentary, though I’m still waiting to see if the ANPR system sends me a fine!
