Sally made a real difference on every visit. I’m gluten free, and she went out of her way to find me lovely gluten-free treats. Eating out with allergies can be worrying, so it’s wonderful to meet someone so thoughtful. The rooms were beautiful as usual, the restaurant and bar food were brilliant, and all the staff were lovely and helpful. I can’t complain about anything and look forward to coming back. We’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times. While RR was working during the day, I had fun exploring both the hotel and Newcastle. It’s a stunning city, and there’s always something new to see, however often you visit. We even came for nights away to explore together when he lived in Washington. If you’re unsure about visiting Newcastle, do go, it can be very romantic. I also love how close the hotel is to the train station, just around the corner, an eight-minute walk with a suitcase. We usually stay in rooms that give access to the lounge, where the woman working during our stay was happy to help with everything.

We had breakfast and there was a great selection to choose from. The rooms were spacious, and the hotel was so clean I couldn’t fault it. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was really good. I’d definitely stay here again.

We’ll stay here whenever we’re in Newcastle. My wife and I had an amazing birthday trip, and the whole visit felt perfect from the warm welcome and check-in with Star through to leaving. Our room was fantastic, spacious, clean and comfortable, with a super-comfy bed and an excellent bathroom with a separate shower and bath. We relaxed in the spotlessly clean pool and spa, then had a drink in the Gin bar before dinner in the restaurant. The food was really good, and every staff member we met was welcoming, approachable and engaging. Thanks to everyone who made the stay so good!

The team’s service really stood out, everyone was excellent and a credit to the hotel. I didn’t catch all the names, but I remember Star, Kirsty, Hamish, Jamila Dan, and Leon. Thank you. We stayed one night while meeting up with former colleagues visiting from Germany on business. The hotel was very good and immaculately clean. Breakfast was excellent too.
