The bed was really comfortable, and the room had lovely decor. We slept so well. The cosy bar, great food and cocktails, and friendly, helpful staff made it a lovely place for a relaxing night away. We’d definitely recommend it.

We had a great birthday stay, with a fun atmosphere and a friendly welcome. I was pleasantly surprised to find the fixed £149 price included a two-course dinner and breakfast. I had the steak, my partner chose pizza, and we both enjoyed our meals. The room was clean, warm and lovely, with the sea view we’d requested for the birthday. Thanks for arranging that. The only small gripe was the dim lighting. The lamp on the left in room 203 was broken too, but it wasn’t a major issue. We had a superb stay and will be back.

The pub outside our window was noisy enough that the children and I couldn’t get a proper night’s sleep. Our room faced a neighboring building, and we only realized a few hours after arriving that the nearby pub was right by the window. We’d paid £250 a night for a Family Room and expected the sea-view room shown on Booking.com. Since I was travelling with children, that view was an important part of choosing the room. The stay didn’t meet our expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to families with young children who need a comfortable, restful stay.

We’d happily come back next time we’re in Newcastle. The hotel has lovely views and is close to everything, with parking just a minute’s walk away. Our room was spacious and very clean, and both the food and the friendly, professional service were great.

The hotel looks amazing, and I’m sure the rooms are great, though we stayed elsewhere and only came for a meal. The service was slow and disappointing. My partner’s steak was very tasty, but the chicken I ordered was bland and seemed like something taken from the deep freeze, no better than supermarket food.
