The White Hart Hotel by Marstons Inns

The bar staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room was absolutely fine for a quick overnight stop. I needed somewhere inexpensive for the night while attending a local training event, and found The White Hart. They upgraded my original single booking to a double because one was available. No issues for the price, and I'd use it again if needed.

I came here on 6 November 2025 for a great live music event. There was a lovely atmosphere, with cosy decor and interior, and the outdoor beer area was a nice feature. It's family friendly and suitable for people with all disabilities. The hotel is right in the heart of Newmarket, with a large car park beside it. All the staff and management were lovely, with a warm welcome and good customer service. I definitely recommend it and will come back to book a stay 👍

Scarlet greeted us with a friendly smile and made us feel comfortable the whole time. She helped with our specific food requests, and the meal was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Let down. I first asked about the VIP area for my best friend's hen night about two months ago. I was told it was free and everything was booked, which was perfect for us. When we had to change the timing because of the second event we were going to, I came in again last month to rearrange it. We arrived at 3 on Saturday, excited to start the evening, and found the VIP area full of people. They said it had accidentally been double-booked and offered us the back of the hotel instead. We were on a hen night and wanted a private space to drink, not to be around children and families eating. I would've been happy to pay to secure the area, but we'd been assured it was booked for us. If you've got an important event, don't trust their assurances. I was told twice we'd be fine.
