The meal was a real highlight, and we loved relaxing by the bar fire for an hour or two. Lizzie was so helpful when booking us into a dog-friendly room. There was some banging from the kitchen below later in the evening, though, and we couldn't find any radiator controls to turn the heat down while sleeping. Still, we had a great stay and would definitely come back.

Breakfast was a standout, especially the homemade granola and blueberry pancake, probably the best pancake I've had. We hadn't eaten dinner at the restaurant, but enjoyed drinks in the relaxed bar. Lizzy welcomed us straight away, showed us around the lounges, bar and restaurant, then let us choose a room and upgraded us for free to the much larger room 6. It was clean, bright, spacious and nicely decorated, with an impressive tea and coffee tray and freshly made biscuits. We'd love to stay again when we're next in the area.

The food looked beautiful and tasted delicious, and there was a fantastic choice of wine. We ate in one of the Secret Garden's dog-friendly pods, which made for a memorable experience. The staff were lovely, and although the weather wasn't great, the heated, weatherproof pod kept us comfortable. Thank you.

The team went out of their way to make the meal memorable for my 55th birthday. The food was fantastic, and the bar had plenty of local beers and quality wines. We've only visited Llys Meddyg a couple of times, but each time has been better than we expected. I'm already looking forward to celebrating my next birthday there.

We weren't sure what to expect from a restaurant visit in the third week of January, but the food was a lovely surprise. It was beautifully cooked and served with real skill, and the service was superb. We went on the first night they opened in the New Year, and we'll be back.
