The twin room was clean and the beds were comfortable, though the room looked a little dated. The bathroom was clean too, but the large overhead shower didn’t work when I tried it, so I had to use the smaller mixer shower attached to the rail. I’d arranged an early check-in and they accommodated it. The place was fairly empty because it was January, and the staff were welcoming. I had to leave before breakfast, as Sunday service starts later than on weekdays. It was very good value, and I’d book again.

The family was fantastic, and the bar was good too. There was plenty of room and the layout was tasteful. The beds were comfortable, even the pull-out, and the shower was really good. The rooms were cold, though it was winter. Having spare portable heaters in each room would have helped during cold snaps. Otherwise, brilliant. I’d stay again and recommend it.

The breakfast had plenty of choice, though we thought it could have been hotter. The rooms were clean and very nice, and the staff were pleasant. It’s out of town, but we took a taxi back at night for £8.50.

There was plenty of space in the lobby, bar and dining room, and the hotel was clean. The breakfast setup was great and had everything we needed, but the evening meal wasn’t very nice. Our room was okay, though very dark and in need of a main light. It was also very cold inside, although it was freezing outdoors. For the quality of the stay, I think the price should be lower.

The reception lady was really helpful when we couldn’t get a taxi to the railway station and pointed us to the bus stop. Taxis can be tricky to get, and the location felt a little out of the way when arriving by train. I enjoyed my one-night stay and would use the hotel again if I’m in the area.
