We turned up very last minute for dinner before a sold-out concert at the nearby SSE arena. The restaurant was packed and really busy, but the service was still 10/10, with all the staff friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We’ll definitely be back.

I called the reservation team to ask about booking a room with a later checkout, and I was happy to pay extra. The agent checked and called back with the details. Everything seemed fine until she said the rates were dynamic and were going up as we spoke. In less than five minutes, the price changed from 73 to 83. I checked the website and the prices there hadn’t changed. Gamble much? These aren’t airline tickets.

The rooms were outstanding and the service was impeccable. Ruth, the duty manager, kept up her bubbly, funny manner throughout our stay, after giving us such a fabulous and very distinctive welcome. We arrived at 0945, hours before the 3pm check-in, and she let us store our bags. She also suggested places to go and things to see, including the open top city bus tour, which is definitely a must, especially if Louis and John are your guide and driver. She pointed us towards some good pubs and places to eat too, and kindly checked us in early when we got back just before 3pm. We had a blast and I’d wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

There’s interesting architecture around the area, though it seems a shame that high-rise buildings now surround the waterfront Titanic Center. I couldn’t imagine that happening at the Sage in Gateshead, Sydney Opera House or Cardiff's waterfront. The hotel’s well placed for walking around Titanic Quarter and into Belfast. We could hear passing traffic from the A2, though we live in the countryside, so we noticed it more. The staff were helpful, and I found the room-cleaning robot vacuum interesting. We opted for the continental breakfast, which was good, especially after a recent stay at another Premier Inn. Even after we finished late, after 09.30, there still seemed to be too much hot food out.

Check-in was at 3.30, but we waited just under an hour for the room. It was concert night, so that was to be expected, and the staff were very friendly about it, especially the night staff, who were helpful too. We had a family room with two singles and one temporary bed. It was clean, nicely set up, and had a nice view. The location was ideal for the concert at the SSE. Breakfast was good value, with a really good selection. I’d stay again.
