The kitchen and dining area worked really well for our small group, and checking in was straightforward. Jeff was a lovely host, and we're definitely planning to return. At St. Mary’s Quarters the rooms were spacious, spotless and nicely furnished, with very comfortable beds. It was also a quiet spot despite being only a few minutes from the attractions. We had an excellent stay.

Everything inside was spotless and smelled lovely. We were in a garden suite with a huge room, a big comfy bed, a large bath and a really nice shower. Shops, bars and restaurants are close by, but the building itself was so quiet. Communication and check-in went smoothly, and they even gave us a late checkout at no extra charge. 10/10.
The rooftop terrace views were a real highlight, and we loved staying in the honywood suite. The website photos don't capture how beautiful it is. My fiancé and I were also taken with the building and its location. Jeff was very helpful while we were there, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The cleaning team were friendly and professional too. If you're after a unique stay in Nottingham, this place is special.
The building has loads of history and is within walking distance of Nottingham town centre, with public transport nearby. There aren't staff on site, but check-in was quick and easy, and staff were available whenever we needed anything. We had a 10/10 stay.
We didn't sleep at all on the first night, and asked to move rooms the following morning because the night had been completely ruined. The street lights shone into the room all night, brighter than the morning light, so my husband ended up wearing his in-flight eye mask. We were on the first floor facing the street, and could hear pub crawlers' conversations clearly until about 2:30 AM. Then other guests kept slamming doors and moving about until 3:30 AM. The thin windows and lack of rugs or other sound-softening features made the noise even worse, despite the room being clean. The bed was also a Queen, even though we'd booked and paid for a King. The mattress felt hard and the pillows were lumpy. Getting the key was confusing too: there are no employees on site, and the code only arrives by email at the exact check-in time, which wasn't clearly explained when we booked. This was a nightmare stay. We can't understand the property's high ratings when it fell so short on sleep and basic comfort, and the room didn't match what we'd booked.
