The Station Hotel

Plenty of gravy, roasties, mash and Yorkshire puddings came with the meat, and there was lots of veg too. We had beef, pork or roast gammon, with a veg option as well. The staff are friendly and happy to help. It was a lovely Sunday lunch, and our second visit in the last few months.

Lee was so helpful and accommodating, and the staff on the night were friendly and made sure we had a great time. The buffet was really good too, and everyone commented on the food. We had my son’s party here on Saturday night, and everything went smoothly from the planning through to the event. Thanks so much for making it such a good night!

The Sunday lunch was great value at £9.99, and it’s a shame the service was so poor because it’s such a nice pub. The board hadn’t been updated with the current draft beers, and the Guinness 0% was warm because the fridge hadn’t been restocked. Then a computer glitch meant only two of our four meals reached the kitchen, so two of us had nearly finished before the others arrived. We ordered more drinks while waiting, and it would have been nice if they’d been complimentary as some kind of compensation. This is our second bad experience eating here.

A lovely traditional pub. I had the fish and chips, though I forgot to take a photo. You can tell from my plate it was lovely, and I’d recommend it. My partner had the pie and chips and said it was beautiful too. She’d definitely have it again.
