We had a warm welcome, easy parking, clean warm rooms, and a good ensuite shower. The kitchens were clean and had a decent oven and fridge, but there wasn't much crockery or in the way of cooking utensils, and basics like oven gloves were missing. Bring your own things if you plan to cook. Our mattress was in really poor shape, almost collapsed, and I could feel the springs. Some rooms apparently have memory foam mattresses, but ours didn't, and I slept badly. The soundproofing wasn't great either, and the floors creaked badly, so your neighbours can make a difference. I'd stay again, but that mattress brought the stay down.

The rooms have been refurbished recently and are clean and a good size. The tram stop is right nearby, making it easy to get into the city centre. The creaky floorboards are a bit of a downside, though honestly not much of a problem. Ground floor rooms, the shared lounge, and the kitchen are wheelchair accessible.

The breakfast room and lounge looked really nice, and I was surprised to find a shared kitchen on both floors. We didn't try breakfast, so I can't say how good it is. My brother and I stayed at Rufford: he had a superior room and I had a standard one. The only difference was that his had an extra bed and a little more space. Both rooms were clean and tidy, with pleasant, simple decor and tea and coffee facilities. The showers were clean and did the job, though the water wasn't very strong. Two small problems: the rooms were really hot even after we turned the heaters down, and one bathroom window had no curtain or blind. I'd stay at Rufford Court B&B again, and thought it was very good value.

Friendly staff, enough parking, and a bit of noise from a nearby pub, though it wasn't bad. The place is basic but clean and well maintained. It's cheap and cheerful, but you get more than you'd expect for the money. Thumbs up from me.

We had a peaceful night's sleep and free Wi-Fi. It's a charming little bed and breakfast, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We paid for breakfast, and it was so delicious that I'm still full. I'd highly recommend it over any chain.
