Garner Hotel Nottingham City Centre, by IHG

The location was brilliant, and it was handy that they let us leave our luggage after checkout. Our stay at Nottingham Garner hotel was lovely, especially thanks to Ellie at reception, who was so helpful. The towels and beds were spotless. If you’re very particular about hygiene, though, you might notice something in the room that makes you uncomfortable.

The bathroom was spotless and the location was perfect. My room at the Garner hotel was very spacious, with a big bed. Breakfast the next morning was good for the price, with enough choice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great stay and would recommend it.

The rooms were nice, the bathroom clean, and the location was good. But I saw an older woman come in carrying some very heavy bags, and neither of the two people at reception offered to help. Some staff came across as disrespectful, and that was very poor service. If reception staff aren’t meant to help, someone should at least be available to assist guests with heavy bags.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and really nice. The location’s handy too, close to the tram and about a five minute walk into the town centre. But noise from students screaming at each other kept waking me up, and I only got around four hours of sleep each night. The rooms are extremely noisy, and I found it intolerable.
