The room was huge, with a big bathroom and a bath, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We also had a lovely view over the golf course. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The shower had good pressure, though the fixed head may be awkward if you're tall. We only stayed one night. The restaurant was the letdown: it was colder than the corridor and the food was just okay, with plenty of room to improve. I'd stay again, but eat elsewhere.

The courses were in about as good a condition as could be expected for the time of year, though the paths through the wooded, sloping areas need attention. We came for two nights and three rounds of golf, and found the golf lounge being refurbished. Food was very average, and a friend even found glass in his meal. Since the new owners took over, food and drink prices have risen a lot, such as £8:20 for a chip roll. Most of the staff could have been more pleasant and smiled; aside from one person, they made us feel like a nuisance.

The clubhouse has a nice outlook across the courses, and there's a decent choice of food and drink. Most of the staff were out working all day, which is a good sign, and the greens were in decent shape for the season. There are three courses, a 9 hole, a par 68 and a par 72, with a good mix between them. I prefer the look of the valley course, while the lakes course has more ups and downs. One of the men behind the bar was downright rude to some customers and could use some customer service training.

Staff were lovely and helpful. The room was comfortable, with a big bed, bath, warm fluffy towels and tea and coffee. It was quiet at night and had good ventilation for the airport. Warm, too.

The rooms are spacious, clean, modern and comfortable, with a great shower. We ate at the clubhouse and liked the food, and the staff were friendly. I would probably come back. The payment setup is awkward, though: you can't charge things to your room or open a tab, so you have to pay at the bar each time. It feels like they're aiming for a high end experience with Wetherspoons style ordering. The receipt printer was broken, which was a small but important problem for me since I was travelling for work and needed a receipt.
