We came from Glasgow for a break and loved our stay. Our top-floor room was beautiful and scenic, with incredible views of Oban. The staff were so engaging and lovely. I can’t recommend this place enough! ❤️

The room was lovely, with a great view of the sea. I’d hoped for more of a personal touch from a guest house, like getting local tips from someone who lives here. Instead, our key was left in an envelope when we arrived, and we just dropped it in a box when we left.

Room 12 was roomy enough for the two of us and felt cozy, with an excellent view across the bay. Breakfast was porridge, with a few extra things to eat and drink. The carafe of fine whiskey was a real highlight. Service was okay, and the house is in a beautiful spot. We had a good stay.

We paid £130 a night for a tiny room and very little else. There was no breakfast, even though the listing said it was included, and no bar either. I was told breakfast was no longer served. The listing also promised free toiletries, but there were none, just an empty holder on the bathroom wall. The tea cup leaked around the handle, soaking the dresser and my phone. With no reception, we had to share a cup rather than ask for another. The room was supposed to be a single but had a double bed, and there was no carpet, so the floor felt cold. It had no ensuite. The private bathroom was down the corridor, past three other rooms, which was difficult for me as a disabled guest. We booked online for two nights at £260 after seeing it described as a four-star hotel with free breakfast, but it turned out to be a three-star bed-only place. There was no reception at all. We had to ask another guest what to do, and he pointed out a phone number in the window by the front door. I texted it the next day to ask whether we could move to another room, and weeks later I’m still waiting for a reply. We’d never return or recommend it.
