The food was very good and reasonably priced, and they catered for coeliac disease, which was lovely. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless, quiet and had a comfortable bed. Parking was good too, with an easy-to-use pay machine. We were very happy with our stay.

The Premier Inn Oban was a great base for our family of three in late May. We were pleasantly surprised by both the hotel and Oban, which has plenty to see and do. The hotel is right in the town centre, with pubs, restaurants and the distillery within easy walking distance. The ferry terminal is just a couple of minutes away, handy for island trips. We could enjoy a drink without needing to drive. We drove around the area and visited McCaig's Tower, Dunstaffnage Castle and the Oban Distillery, which was fantastic. Glencoe is about a 30-minute drive away and well worth seeing for the breathtaking scenery, history and excellent pubs along the way. The rooms are spacious and comfortable in this modern building, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. It's not the cheapest Premier Inn I've stayed at, but Oban has limited accommodation and is a popular destination. As with other Premier Inns, the standard was reliably good. Food was good value too. Breakfast was excellent every morning, as I'd expect here. Dinner isn't fine dining, but it was enjoyable and reasonably priced. The meal deals were especially good value, with a filling breakfast and evening meal plus a drink. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Stephen behind the bar was excellent throughout our stay and is one reason I'd happily recommend the hotel, wink! A lovely Ukrainian woman who worked in reception and the restaurant was consistently welcoming and professional too. I regret that I've forgotten her name. She was a real credit to the hotel. We had a fantastic stay and would gladly return to Oban.

The food and kitchen service at breakfast were 10/10, and dinner on our second night was beautiful. I had the sirloin steak, my partner the mixed grill. We spent two amazing days at Premier Inn Oban over New Year. Our room was spotless, cosy and very comfortable, with a view of the harbour side. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, a credit to the company. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for making our trip so special.

The hotel's parking was full, so we used the public lot right beside it. It was reasonably priced at £7.50 for 24 hours, compared with the hotel's £5. We had a larger room with a fridge, and the extra space was much appreciated. It worked well for the two of us for one night. Downtown Oban was an easy walk of five minutes or less. The self-check-in machines asked for a lot more details than a regular in-person check-in, so halfway through we switched over to the staffed option to avoid entering passport details.

The hotel is close to the ferry terminal and Wetherspoons. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the unlimited breakfast is well worth paying for, especially before a long drive.
