Cotswold House - Guest house

The bus stop is right across the road, and buses run every ten minutes for a straightforward trip into the city centre. It’s a lovely place, everyone was friendly, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. I’d happily stay again.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from: fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juice, toast, boiled eggs, tea, coffee and even hot chocolate. We stayed in Room 5, which was very good, and the bathroom was exceptional. The B&B has a charming cottage feel, and Mark made us feel welcome when we arrived. He was helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

The continental breakfast was well stocked, with boiled eggs and toast offered too. Shops and groceries are about a ten-minute walk away, but parking was difficult with seven cars and a couple of motorbikes already there. The room had an extra twin bed, but nowhere to sit apart from the beds. The rooms felt dated, and noise came through the walls from adjoining rooms, so privacy was limited. The bathroom was quite large, though much of its window blind was missing.

I was unwell, and the owner kindly upgraded me at no extra charge. The family room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable that I managed to get some sleep, which was a major bonus for me. Thank you for the support.
