The car park crossing to the pub needs repair, and I think it would be difficult for wheelchair users. I didn't see access to the hotel rooms for disabled guests, so you'd need to ask. I have mobility issues and just managed the stairs. We enjoyed the stay and would book again. The room was clean and great, and although the bed was soft, I slept really well. The downstairs looked newly upgraded, with a name change too. There was a party when we arrived, so it was busy and noisy. After our party, there seemed to be another one, and I worried about the loud music, but by my 12:30 it had gone quiet. We had a delicious, reasonably priced restaurant meal. We hadn't booked breakfast, but could have just walked in. It was an ideal spot for us because of a party.

I was delighted with lunch. The food was good and reasonably priced, and I was surprised to see pastries available for dessert. They open at 0800, with filled rolls and all day breakfast. Dogs are also allowed in part of the dining area.

We had a lovely lunch, with nicely presented food at a reasonable price. The downstairs has changed a lot since I last visited many years ago, and has been refurbished to a very high standard. We saw lots of people having afternoon tea, and it looked mouth watering, with scones, cream and jam, sandwiches, cakes and more. It's £24 for two people, plus £12 for each extra person. We'll try it next time we visit. Would recommend.

The atmosphere was peaceful and lovely, with nice background music, and booking the gifted afternoon tea was easy. The food was delicious and really fresh, and the scones were still warm from the oven. Callum gave personal, quick, excellent service. My partner said the espresso martini was one of the best he'd had in any bar.

The restaurant was very busy, which seemed like a good sign given the hard times these businesses are facing. It was my first visit in many years since I moved away. I used to go to the pub in its early days, when I stayed in Glenburn. We all got excellent food, served by very competent staff. High tea seemed to be a favourite. Prices were very competitive, and I'd happily visit again if I'm in the area.
