I’m staying here now, and it’s one of the best Travelodges I’ve tried. The rooms are spotless and quiet, and it’s basic, just as I expected for the price. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My one gripe is that the bins aren’t emptied daily unless you ask. That’s Travelodge policy, so it isn’t the staff’s fault.

I was only here for one night, but the welcome was warm and the staff were super friendly. My room was cosy, very clean and spacious, with a really comfortable mattress and everything I needed. There was plenty of hot water for a bath, lots of free parking, and restaurant choices right nearby. Happy to recommend.

The room was very good and spacious, and the shared areas were tidy. The location is handy, although the car park gets busy because people also use it for the nearby Harvester and McDonald’s. The TV was a letdown: the smart TV wasn’t up to date, reception was patchy, and lots of Freeview channels were missing, including BBC 1, 2 and 3 and Dave. There isn’t much to do nearby without driving, so TV would have helped fill the time. There were no charging sockets either, so without an adaptor you have to use the ones on the back of the TV, which charge very slowly.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. I’m staying for a few days, and they replaced the towels as soon as I asked. The WiFi is the one downside: it’s free for only half an hour, then you have to pay. Ridiculous.

I’ve had the best sleep in ages. The room was quiet, warm and clean, the pillows were brilliant, and the soundproof windows were a blessing.
