Spotlessly clean room, warm and comfortable bed, and a fabulous breakfast made with fresh, good-quality local produce. There's parking on site, and it's a short walk to the town centre. Great value for money, it ticks all the boxes.
Valerie, the owner, made me feel welcome. The room was comfortable and clean, and I could get a delicious evening meal on request. Breakfast was made to order. The hotel is just a short walk from the centre, making it easy to visit the castle and church or ride the heritage railroad.
Val, the host, couldn't do enough for us, and breakfast was amazing with options for gluten-free guests. The hotel is in an ideal spot with plenty of parking. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable, with everything you need for a lovely break. I'd highly recommend a visit.
We found the hotel at the last minute and would stay again if we return to Pickering. It has a cosy, homely feel, and our room was clean, spacious, dog friendly, and really nice. The area around it is quiet and peaceful, yet the town centre is within walking distance. Breakfast was great, with plenty to eat. Val was a fantastic, friendly and attentive host, with great local knowledge and advice about visiting Whitby and Staithes. The hotel staff were lovely and polite too.
The breakfast was brilliant, all local and very tasty, and the staff were very helpful. Our room was excellent, and there's great parking at the rear for cars or motorbikes, well out of the way of prying eyes. Fabulous place, well located for everything. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone.
