We got a table for three despite booking at short notice, and everyone in my party enjoyed the evening, even the skeptics. The tasting menu was excellent, with beautifully prepared dishes, striking presentation and real craftsmanship. Staff were welcoming, funny, charming and friendly, and the wine list was excellent, with great pairing suggestions. From start to finish it was divine, and the reputation is well deserved. Best dining experience of my life by far. I’ll definitely be back.

Meeting Calum Montgomery and tasting his vision in The Taste of Skye menu was a pleasure. Each course told a story of the island, drawing on local produce and nature, and the dishes were creative, honest and beautifully presented. Falasgair was a particular highlight: the dessert was delicately sprayed with the smokiest whisky on the island and served in a vintage perfume bottle. It was surprising, elegant and harmonious, a flavour hard to put into words. The service team were professional, knowledgeable, kind and attentive, with perfect timing throughout. From the warm welcome to the passion for food and care with every detail, you could feel how much everyone at Edinbane Lodge loves what they do. It’s a place that tells Skye’s story through flavour, craft and heart. An unforgettable evening and a must-visit on the Isle of Skye.

Calum’s food clearly comes from a real love of Skye’s ingredients, brought to a world-class level. Each course was a delicious, mouth-watering adventure, with presentation and flavour that connected deeply to Skye. It’s hard to find words for just how extraordinary the food was. We came for the tasting menu to celebrate my birthday, and the entire experience was outstanding, from the staff greeting us to the flawless service and detailed explanations of each course. The team also gave us a complimentary glass of champagne, a birthday card, and a special treat at the end. It was a lovely, thoughtful gesture that showed how exceptional their service is. Calum is a culinary genius, and this is the finest restaurant we’ve ever visited. If you’re on Skye, it’s a must. Huge thanks to Calum and the whole team for making my birthday unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back.

We only ate at the restaurant and didn’t stay at the lodge. The food was incredible, and the drive in from Portree was well worth it. They easily accommodated my celiac and gluten-free needs, and I didn’t feel I missed out on anything from the menu. 10/10, would recommend!
