The Hungry Horse next door does good-value breakfast, with vegan choices, so I keep coming back to Purple Roomz. I’ve stayed three times, even though I rarely return to a hotel. It’s easy to find, close to the main routes, and I’ve never heard road noise inside. The rooms are spotless and spacious, and the staff are always friendly, brilliantly Lancashire. A real gem.

The room was fairly large, clean enough, and the shower was amazing. There aren’t any water-saving devices fitted here. The food next door was really nice, too. I had a payment issue with my company, our fault, and the woman at reception was very patient and helpful.

We just needed a stopover and it was great value for money. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, with plenty of milk, coffee, tea and sugar. The shower was great, though if you're tall you may need to angle it to get under it. Just what we needed.

I’ve just stayed here for a couple of nights again while visiting family, and the rooms are as comfortable as ever. The staff are friendly and always make you feel welcome. It’s a nice, clean place for a few days, and I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the area.
