The Spa Hotel Ribby Hall Village

The only small downside is that food and drinks on site are a bit pricey, though the on-site spar is reasonably priced and local supermarkets are close to the grounds. We love Ribby hall. My wife and I have taken our children there many times over the past five winters, and it’s become a family tradition. A long weekend feels just right, with enough time for the kids to do the activities. They have lots of fun at the swimming baths and in the soft play areas. Staff are brilliant, the kids’ entertainment is great, and a walk around the grounds is a nice activity too.

The rooms were cosy and comfortable, with a huge bed, although the view from our window wasn’t great. The cooked breakfast the next morning was excellent. We had a relaxing spa night away as two couples, all staying over, and booked the aqua thermal journey from 4-6pm. It was wonderful, clean, not crowded and really relaxing. Dinner was at 8pm, with £35 credit each. The food was delicious and nicely presented, but the menu is steeply priced: £34 for a steak, £13 for a starter and £33 for a bottle of house red. Keep that in mind when budgeting, as it’s easy to spend more than the allowance. Staff were polite and welcoming throughout, and we had a lovely, relaxing stay.

There was plenty to keep our toddler busy, and the staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the log cabins, which was cosy and well equipped. What a great place. Hope to visit again.

There’s loads to do indoors and out, and this was a fantastic experience for families with small children. We paid £260 for four nights, the low-season rate of course, and it was incredible value. The parent and toddlers breaks are wonderful value. There are lovely activities, some FREE, playgrounds, soft play, a fabulous pool with slides and a splash zone, plus a gorgeous tranquil adults-only pool with a hot tub, sauna and steam included. The outdoor spaces are stunning. Accommodation was clean and spacious, with entertainment like a mini disco and quiz night. Restaurant choices were good without silly prices, and it’s close to St Annes and Blackpool. There’s a fantastic little zoo on site, and we could see deer, wallabies and Binturong from the cottage. The staff were lovely and so helpful.
