Bingham Riverhouse

We’ve eaten here twice as locals over the last few months, once for brunch and once for dinner. The food was good both times, but the price felt high for the service, and there was a 13.5% service charge on top. Dinner had an ordinary dining room feel, and although the service was okay, it seemed very expensive. Brunch was alright too, and the food was comparable to the Ivy down the road. We’d booked it for a birthday, but it didn’t feel as special as we’d hoped. The atmosphere and service were missing that spark. Our waitress was mopping the other side of the room while we ate. I’m sure that wasn’t her fault, since we were at the end of the brunch sitting.

The staff made the birthday meal feel like a real treat. The young Greek lady at the front desk was warm and professional, and our waitress, whose name we didn’t catch, was lovely and attentive. She seemed to care about our experience, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all fabulous. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and the cocktails were really tasty. Everything was top notch and worth every penny. Well done to the whole team. I can imagine running a successful restaurant and hotel these days takes a lot.

The team really made our stay. Everyone we met was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, answered our questions well, and made us feel looked after. Our dog was welcomed just as warmly as we were. Bingham Riverhouse is a beautiful boutique hotel in a fantastic spot, with a lovely view that helped us relax straight away. The decor is tasteful, the place was spotless, and there are charming details throughout. We slept wonderfully in the very comfortable bed. We’d absolutely recommend it and will happily return. DJ Alex made my birthday unforgettable with a great set that kept the energy up all night. I’ll definitely come back, especially to hear DJ Alex play again. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality felt warm and attentive, the cocktails were perfectly made, and the atmosphere was hard to beat. This place really knows how to celebrate its guests.
