The Cadillac Kustomz Hotel

The owner was a nice bloke and took time to chat while I was getting a beer at the on-site bar. The bar and restaurant decor was excellent, with great attention to detail. The rooms were spotless, with thoughtful extras like dressing gowns and branded cups, and all the fittings looked new or well cared for. Brilliant place.

The view would be hard to beat, and our room was immaculate and thoughtfully laid out. The owners were very friendly, and it’s a unique hotel. Our breakfast was first class, especially the properly cooked tattie scone and black pudding. There was live music, though unfortunately the singers weren’t good. I hope they were playing for free! We’d definitely return. Good luck to you!

If your ferry gets cancelled at the last minute, I hope you have better luck than we did. We weren’t offered a refund or a chance to reschedule. It’s a lovely place, but the customer service is awful!

I enjoyed my stay and thought this was the best value for money in town. It was clean, and the owner was very friendly, welcoming, and always respectful with guests. We stayed in 55 and had a small issue with the shower: we couldn’t lower the temperature, and the water was very hot. The Tunnock's tea cakes with tea in the room were a really nice touch. I’d stay again, probably sometime this year.
