There are 10 rooms here, which would be ideal for a few days in Saffron Waldron. The new manger and staff made us feel very welcome. This beautiful old pub sits right in the heart of Saffron Waldron, with a warm, inviting feel that takes you back in time. The food and wine list, though, are very current and very good. Stop in for lunch or dinner, a drink from the excellent wine list, or coffee and cake in their cafè nook.

Even with the problem two of us had with our food at Sunday lunch, I'd still recommend the Cross Keys for a meal with friends. The food was very good overall. The manager sorted the issue straight away, apologized sincerely and generously reduced our bill without any fuss. I didn't catch her name, but I'd like to pass on my thanks and praise. There were four of us.

The beef was really tender and the trimmings were delicious. We booked a table online for three for Sunday roast, and the process was quick and easy. When we arrived, we were seated right away. We'll definitely be back one day soon.

We had a lovely meal out with the family. The seafood pasta was very nice, and the fish and chips were amazing. I'd definitely recommend it for a meal out.

Christmas Day was our first time eating out, and it turned into a really special, amazing experience. The food and atmosphere were perfect. We'd booked Christmas Dinner online after a phone call, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. We arrived on time and were shown to our table quickly. It was laid out perfectly, and the waitress talked us through the wine and champagne options. Starters came after only a short wait, then there was the usual time between courses. Plenty of staff were around, helpful without being overbearing. I couldn't recommend this place more. Keep up the great work, team 👏
