The pub serves very good drinks and stays open late on weekends. The hotel works well for a quick overnight after a concert or other event. The bathroom is really small, especially if you’re over 5.5 feet tall. I’d come back.

The place smelled of chemicals, the ceiling looked ready to come down, and there was mold in the shower. The sheets were dirty and there was no reception. Drunk British men were molesting me. It was a terrible experience, and I need to get checked for diseases as soon as possible.

A lovely spot for a quiet night’s sleep, with a welcoming feel. Breakfast or lunch was tasty and served in a very English style. The drinks were good and affordable too. Recommended for a nice, relaxed time.

We left and booked somewhere else, without getting a refund. Before check-in, we’d tried several times to contact the hotel because we arrived early, but got no response. When we finally checked in, they had the room sizes wrong and refused to fix it, even after I showed them the booking confirmation proving the mistake. The room conditions were awful. The shower tray was filthy and full of pubic hair, other people’s toiletries were in the bathroom, the toilet was dirty, and the window looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The net curtains were meant to be white but were so dirty they looked brown. The bedding was old and unpleasant, and there was a dirty fridge switched on its side on the bedside cabinet. The place smelled bad and the staff were rude. I know it’s cheap, but there should still be basic standards.

It’s close to Finsbury Park and the subway stations, and the basic rooms are okay for a night. But I was bitten badly because my room had bed bugs. Please be aware.
