The location was ideal, only a few minutes’ walk from the centre. Our room had everything we needed and a really comfortable bed. There’s a nice bar and outdoor area downstairs, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely stay and would come back if we’re in the area.

The only thing to flag is there’s no elevator, which could be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. It wasn’t an issue for us, and the staff kindly offered to carry our bags up and down the stairs. The Caboose was a wonderful stay. Lauren, James and Valeria were warm, friendly, and gave us good local advice. It’s close to the train station and an easy walk to the city center, market, parks, and cathedral. Our room was clean and comfortable, the shower was excellent, and it was surprisingly quiet beside the tracks, though ear plugs were supplied for light sleepers. We also had ice water and tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was cooked to order, and the fresh croissants were some of the best I’ve had. I’d wholeheartedly stay again. Thanks for a great Salisbury visit.

Small rooms, but perfectly fine, with a very comfortable bed and top quality linens. The shower was the best I’ve had in ages, and breakfast was excellent. Staff were patient, friendly, and glad to help us find our way around. It’s right by the train station and the lovely pub Hettie Bell`s. Try the brisket Smashburger. We’ll happily recommend The Caboose.

I was on my way to a pub when I spotted this hotel’s bar through the windows and decided to stop instead. It has a lovely, cozy look, and the cocktails were really well made. The man running the place was very nice too. Handy spot, right next to the train station.

The conversations with James (proprietor) and Ed (bar keep) were a real part of what made our stay so enjoyable. The rooms were thoughtfully equipped, breakfast was delightful, and everything about the visit felt joyous. The Caboose has class, warmth, and care, without feeling like a chain hotel. We booked on a whim, trusting the earlier reviews were genuine, and it was a WIN, to borrow from a younger cohort. If our travels bring us back nearby, we’ll aim to stay here again, and might even go out of our way to do so.
