Stonehenge Courtyard

We found this place by accident on Hotels.com, and for the price it’s a real bargain. It’s tucked behind a hotel with its own entrance, so it was very quiet. The room felt luxurious, with lovely decor, a well-appointed bathroom, and tea and coffee facilities. There was even a fridge stocked with fresh milk, cold water, and orange juice, plus a nicely arranged breakfast bag with muffins, granola pots, and fresh bananas. The bed was super comfortable, with plenty of crisp, clean sheets and throws to keep us warm. I’d recommend it for a little getaway where you can relax in your own peaceful space.

We stayed in the family room. The bathroom had a strong mold smell, and the warped floors may point to humidity damage and explain it. Breakfast was mostly shop-bought food, so nearby bakeries or restaurants would be a better option.

Everything went smoothly with the clear self check-in directions, and the room was clean with all we needed. The owners have thought through the details, from the decor to the generous, adorable breakfast provisions, both in and out of the fridge. We had fruit, juice, water, and milk chilled, a tea pot, other treats, and breakfast foods that came in really handy. It felt like a real class act, in a great location that’s easy to explore on foot. Five stars all around!

Tracey and Keith made every part of arrival easy, with clear directions including What3Words and a personalized welcome slate with our guest name. After a long trip from Torquay with our two little ones, we were exhausted, and the spacious suite was just the restorative stop we needed before heading home. It was spotless, warm, beautifully appointed, and stocked with excellent food provisions. The bed was the most comfortable of our whole holiday. We only stayed overnight, so we’re sorry we missed meeting the cats. Thank you both for making it such a welcoming retreat. We’d return in a heartbeat.
