Breakfast was amazing, especially the homemade granola, and the food made great use of local produce. We also loved the cocktails and their own gin. The room was spotless and beautifully done, with thoughtful little touches everywhere. The owners and staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the guest room for pre dinner drinks had a lovely atmosphere. We only wish we'd booked two nights at this beautiful boutique hotel. Thanks so much, we'll definitely be back.

We paid £370 for two nights bed and breakfast, so I expected a much higher standard. The room's advertised side garden view was actually rooftops, and the bedroom at the top of the house was very cold because the heating went off around 19.30. I asked for a heater, waited over half an hour, then had to ask again. I was told they were busy with guests at their private function. The restaurant and bar were also unavailable because of a private hire, and nobody told us before we arrived. The owner was unfriendly. We were even asked to switch off the landing light outside our room, which felt dangerous with several flights of stairs in an emergency. For a place calling itself a boutique hotel, sachets of coffee instead of a machine and a toilet seat without soft close felt poor. More like a bed and breakfast, and that's unfair to the fabulous B&Bs we've stayed in.

The breakfast was freshly cooked to order, with plenty of choice, and Tuesday dinner at the North restaurant was excellent. Sophie looked after us politely and courteously. The hotel itself was spotless and beautifully decorated, and our room was a good size with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom and shower. Sally and Joanna were so helpful, even carrying our luggage up and down the stairs without being asked. We'd never visited Norfolk before, and chose this place by chance after reading reviews for a three night stay with my partner. We didn't get to say goodbye, but thank you all. The hotel really is the star of the show! Mark and Jackie

We ate in the restaurant one evening and both the food and service were top notch. Breakfast was excellent too, and our Drury Lane room was very comfortable. It was our first visit to this small hotel, for a two night weekend, and we had a really enjoyable stay. Everyone working there was lovely and friendly. We'll stay again when we're back in charming Sheringham.

The location is great, just a few minutes from the seafront, and there's plenty of parking. My en suite had a fab shower, and the room had nice welcome treats like sweets and biscuits. Everything was spotlessly clean, with a really stylish decor, and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was GREAT. I'm a fussy vegetarian and couldn't fault it. Highly recommend, and I'm looking forward to coming back.
