Residence Inn By Marriott Slough

The rooftop at Moxy has lovely views and a fun atmosphere, with cocktails that really hit the spot. Staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Slough surprised me with views like these. It’s a hidden gem that makes you want to linger and enjoy the place.

Rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped, and breakfast was very good. It’s about a five minute walk to the train station, with central London 25 mins away by train. There’s free parking around the corner too. Superb hotel.

The free parking was a nice extra, about a five minute walk away. It wasn’t gated, but we felt safe and had no trouble. For access to London, the hotel is very convenient, close to the station. It is Slough, though, so it’s worth looking into the area. Lots of families seem to use it as a base for Legoland. We stayed at the Residence Inn Slough for two weeks. The staff were lovely and helpful, and there was enough equipment in the gym for a solid workout. Our courtyard-facing room was usually quiet, apart from Monday mornings when recycling and deliveries took place. Breakfast was included, which was great, but the selection was small and the same every day. The modern rooms were well equipped, though they don’t have an oven, just a small hob and a microwave with a grill function. The beds were quite soft, and we kept rolling into the middle. Little Lahore across the street was absolutely delicious, and we’d highly recommend it. Overall, a solid, well priced base near London, with a bit more room.

Parking isn’t at the hotel itself, but the free car park is a two minute walk away. The rooms are spacious, with a great view from the window, and I loved the bath. Service was very good, and breakfast had a great selection. Very good hotel for the money.
