Jade at reception was brilliant. We’d forgotten to ask for a ground-floor room for my elderly relative, who has mobility issues, but she found us an accessible one near reception. Thank you! We were visiting so she could watch her grandchildren compete, and the hotel was conveniently just off the M42. It was quiet and breakfast was good. One suggestion for Head Office: could accessible rooms have showers instead of baths? Our upstairs room had a shower.

The staff took such good care of my elderly mum while she was visiting us over Christmas. They made sure she was warm and safe and had everything she needed. The hotel and rooms were spotless, tidy and really well equipped. I can’t fault the place or the service. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Thanks to everyone at the hotel.

The dinner server this evening, 16/02/26, was so polite and worked really hard to get everyone served. Fair play to him. I come here every year for a week away with work during the NEC motorhome show, and the staff are always friendly. The food is consistently great, and the rooms are immaculate.

The staff, most of them, really tried to help and went the extra mile, though they seemed stretched and busy. One person behind the bar was a bit grumpy. Even so, I wouldn’t come back. This was the worst Premier Inn I’ve stayed in, and it looked neglected, almost closed down. We’d booked two rooms but were put at opposite ends of the hotel. Both were freezing and took ages to warm up. Each had just one towel, but staff brought extra ones when we asked. At night there were no spare pillows, so I opened the bag of extra bedding, presumably for the junior bed, and the quilt inside was filthy. The carpets were filthy too, with plaster dust throughout our stay. The TV looked like it was nailed to a bit of MDF. Breakfast was poor: the bread was hard before it even went in the toaster, the glasses were stuck to an old tray by the fresh juices, and the cooked food took a while to arrive and wasn’t great.
