ibis Southampton Centre

I've been coming here almost regularly for close to eight years, and I've never been disappointed. I stayed six days this time, and the room was comfortable, great, and had a nice view. What keeps bringing me back is the ladies who work here. They're always welcoming and go out of their way to help and accommodate me when they can. Thanks for the fantastic stay, the laughs and everything you did for me. I look forward to the next visit. Keep up the great service, you deserve a raise. I was disappointed with my stay. The room stayed at a fixed 17°C, which felt too cold and, as I understand it, is below the UK standard for an acceptable, comfortable temperature. The extra heater they gave me was very weak and couldn't warm the room, so I slept in the cold and was uncomfortable. For what I paid, that wasn't acceptable. I hope the hotel manager addresses the temperature issue. Thank you.

For the money, this is a decent budget hotel. We stayed one night before our cruise, and the view of the cruise ships at the docks was awesome. It was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. There was a good cold pint too. Breakfast cost a bit much for the quality, especially as I've had better elsewhere for a similar price. Bars, pubs and shops are all within walking distance, with everything close by.

The view was fantastic, especially when a cruise ship was in sight. The staff were lovely, polite and extremely helpful with storing my medication. The room was clean and tidy, though the TV was a bit small. All in all, it was a decent stay and hotel. I'd return and recommend it to others.
