The Copenhagen restaurant was a highlight: excellent food, attentive service and fair prices, though it shuts at 21:30, so late hunger means heading into town. The hotel was well priced in the off season, and I’ll be back. It was very quiet when I stayed, just right for me. The location is about a 10 minute walk from town, but the hill is steep. Downstairs, two living room style lounges have luxurious seating and give the accommodation building a stately home feel. My room was spacious, well equipped and had a very comfortable bed with fast WiFi. The bathroom was practical, and everything was clean, with plenty of towels and places to sit. There’s no gym, but there is a small pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna.

I left feeling properly rested and refreshed. I spent a couple of hours in the pool and sauna, and hadn’t realised how much I needed the break. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and they even booked me a taxi back to the airport while I was there. The hotel sits up a hill with views across St Peter Port towards Herm and Sark. I arrived at 10.30am and my room was ready for check-in. If it hadn’t been, I could still have used the pool and sauna while I waited. It’s quiet and easy to walk into town from here. Breakfast was lovely, with a broad buffet and several cooked options to order. The scrambled eggs were delicious. It isn’t the cheapest place, but I felt the stay was worth it. I’ll stay here again when I come back. Thanks for a lovely break.

We came for four days over New Year and had a brilliant time. New Year’s Eve was especially fun, with a disco downstairs in the bar and plenty of space to dance. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Breakfast was superb, and the food was beautiful throughout. There’s also a lovely little pool, hot tub and sauna. The service was excellent, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel is on quite a steep hill. If you’re not very mobile, the walk up from town could be tricky, but we enjoyed the exercise after all that food. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The hotel and our room were spotless throughout, and the pool and spa area were just as clean. There was a good range of dishes on the menu, and the food was very good. The staff were wonderful, always friendly and helpful.
