Holiday Inn Express Stirling

Shirley was there every time I went back and forth to the car, checking that I was okay. She was so welcoming when I arrived that I felt right at home, and she really reminded me how nice the Scottish are. I hadn't been back to Scotland in over ten years. I'd driven more than 500 miles from Brighton that day, and by the time we got there late at night I was so exhausted I could barely remember my name. Shirley was exactly the person I needed to check me in. Everyone I spoke to was warm and friendly, but she really stood out. We were stopping over before heading to the Highlands, where I planned to propose. We visited Doune Castle first, which is worth seeing if you're passing. I'm now engaged and we had a great holiday. When we tell family and friends our engagement story, we'll get to mention how kind Shirley was right at the start of our journey, after that long drive. Kind regards, Daniel

Staff were perfect and always ready to help. Our room felt a bit cold, so they brought us an extra portable heater. Breakfast was good, though the quality could be better, and the breakfast staff were very, very good. For about 55 GBP, including breakfast and free parking, I thought it was exceptionally good value. The pizza was the letdown. At 16 GBP, it felt like a bit of a rip-off, and tasted like a cheap frozen pizza with no flavour.

My wife and I stayed on 10th of January in room 210, which was cosy, lovely and spotlessly clean. The staff were amazing, especially Kate at breakfast. She's such a lovely lady. We left a bracelet in the room, but when we called, the hotel found it and arranged to get it back to us. We'll definitely return. 😊

The car park is big, and the staff are really lovely. Dogs are welcome, including at breakfast, as long as they stay on the wooden floor. Breakfast is basic but good, with plenty of choice.
