Best Western Aberavon Beach

The beach is right across the street, and the rooms were clean. Sadly, the rest of our weekend was a string of unpleasant situations. A guest behaved abusively toward us, so we reported it to staff. They offered a complimentary bottle of wine, but a receptionist gave that guest our personal details and room number. His music was excessively loud, and management did nothing despite our complaints, so we didn't get a proper night's rest. When we went to the bar for the wine, the server made a comment I found offensive, and then we heard reception and bar staff arguing about the bottle. Our key card kept losing its data and had to be reprogrammed throughout the stay. We were locked out of our room every day. The cafeteria food wasn't cooked to a good standard, and staff interactions were only acceptable. On Friday and Saturday morning, shouting children ran through the hall and woke us, with no parental supervision. I hate leaving a bad review, but I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here. What was meant to be a relaxing weekend turned into one nasty situation after another.

The personal touch from the staff is what stands out when we stay here. Anamd at Best Western Aberavon is always approachable and friendly, and he never fails to greet us with a big smile. Luigi at reception is another favorite of ours. Those two are the highlight of the hotel. Thanks for making each stay feel personal, and keep up the good work!

Breakfast has plenty to choose from, and there's lots of it. The staff are the best part of this place, so friendly and couldn't do more for you. My room, though, looked very tired. The carpet was threadbare in patches and looked as if something had been digging at it.

The surroundings were lovely, and the staff made everything easy. We came for Sunday lunch today, and the food was delicious. Service was wonderful too. Thanks to everyone, we'll definitely come back.
