We come several times a year. The pub is lovely, bright and roomy, with beautiful decor and plenty of parking. We had Sunday lunch with a group of 10. The menu was excellent, portions were generous, and the service was excellent. The Sunday roast was delicious.

There was a nice roaring fire, and the location is just perfect. The service was top-notch too. I had a wonderful Saturday lunch, with delicious special ham and Stokes condiments that I really liked. 🤩📍👍🔥

The pork chop was perfectly cooked, tasty and moist, and my wife’s pork belly was just as tasty. As big foodies, we’ve found a lot of pubs have brought in dishes, but this little find was different. I’d travel back just for that chop. We stopped here on a campervan trip to France via Plymouth, on a recommendation from the park4night app. There’s a great little site overlooking Dartmoor where we stayed overnight for free. The pub is super cosy and the food was fantastic, cooked by a brilliant chef. George and the rest of the team were super friendly, and it’s a great dog-friendly spot. We even came across locals sharing a few free apples while walking around the village.

The family gave me a stay here as a birthday treat, and I’m short of words for how wonderful the place is. Great views, rooms, food and drinks, people and service. Definitely worth a visit and a stay.

We stayed overnight in our truck through Brit Stops. The staff were great, and The Mary Tavy Inn is a lovely pub with excellent beer and food. We couldn’t fault it. 💪😎🤙
